Usage on land
The navigation program Lux Navalis functions also on land. On land the charts are fundamental charts, road maps and different road information databases. The new version of Lux Navalis can be used as a mobile chart plotter, where the position and route to target is continuously displayed in real time. Lux Navalis can be controlled by mouse, touch pad or touch screen". For car usage the display of Lux Navalis can be adjusted to give necessary advise at a glimpse. By activating the telematic properties Lux Navalis can follow the movements of the vehicle. Different telematics instruments can be installed into the vehicle to enable to transfer psositional data and to send driving instructions to the driver. With teh aid of Lux Navalis you can plan work processes on land and follow their progress. E.g. when inspecting power lines it is possible to transfer and log the positions where repair work is needed and to send this data to another Lux Navalis far away. Instead of a vehicle Lux Navalis can follow hikers and other persons in the nature (e.g. snowmobilesafars, hikers, forest workers and even hunting dogs). The user can make own notes in the chart while on land just the same way as on seas. The notes can be read telematically according to the position.
